UC Santa Barbara Emeriti Association Report
Emeriti Association President Morgan continued his practice of issuing periodic e-mail communications, apprizing members of developments relating to post-employment and health benefits. This was particularly important as plans in the medical plans were announced.
In conjunction with the RetireesŐ Association, a quarterly newsletter continues to be published and distributed. Recent issues have been expanded to keep emeriti better informed.
UCSB Emeriti & Retiree Associations 2013 Fall Kick-Off
The a UCSB Emeriti & Retiree Associations Fall Kick-off was held on Thursday, October 17, from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at The Faculty Club. The event began with a social hour enhanced by wine and refreshments, followed by a discussion with UCSB Healthcare Facilitator Laura Morgan, on Open Enrollment & Changes Coming for 2014 UC Health Benefits. A record number of 113 guests attended the event.
Spring 2014 CUCRA/CUCEA Meetings
Planning continues for the Spring 2014 CUCRA/CUCEA meetings at UCSB. These will be Wednesday, April 30, and Thursday, May 1. The meetings will be held at the Mosher Alumni House on the UCSB campus. The Wednesday evening dinner will be held at the Glenn Annie Golf Club in the foothills of Goleta. A special rate will be available at the Pacific Suites hotel, near campus.
