The paid-up Membership, as of March 17, 2011, is 106, with 97 Regular Members, and 9 Associate members.


Professor Emeritus of Psychology Elliot Aronson has received the Constantine Panunzio Distinguished Emeriti Award for 2010-11. He is the fifth UCSC Professor to be so honored.


Professor of Education Emeritus Art Pearl has been named the winner of the 2010-11 Distinguished Social Sciences Emeriti Faculty Award (an Edward A. Dickson Emeriti Professorship).

James Clifford has been selected as a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.


The UCSC Emeriti Association meets on the third Thursday of every other month from September thru May. The average attendance for 2010-2011 is 38 members.

Emeriti Lectures

The UCSC Emeriti Association sponsors, with financial support from the ChancellorŐs Office, community-wide lectures twice during the year by one of the distinguished Emeritus Professors from our Association. Lectures are free and attended by all segments of our community. Lectures are given on a weekday evening and in a campus auditorium that is easily accessible to all. The Chairperson is responsible for coordinating the Emeriti Lectures.
